Dr. Jennifer Cork, DWS, LCSW

Dr. Jennifer provides services for children and adults in need of mental health therapy. Her goal for every client is to work herself out of a job and help individuals and families learn tools to meet their own goals for emotional and mental wellbeing. She is not looking to change anyone or use behavioral modification to make someone more “normal,” but to help individuals learn ways to navigate the world and meet their own goals.

Dr. Jennifer is a scholar practitioner, meaning that she works to provide therapy services that are grounded in both experience and research. She strives to provide affirming and culturally humble care for clients. She welcomes feedback from clients about what is working or not working for them.

Dr. Jennifer primarily provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions in her work with clients. More specifically, many of the individuals that she works with are both neurodivergent and have mental health diagnoses. Using CBT, she works to help individuals to better understand their stress responses and to find healthier ways to engage in their fight, flight, or freeze responses when they have elevated emotions in order to increase self-regulation.

Jennifer is a late-diagnosed autistic, cisgender, social worker, and has had her own experiences with general and social anxiety. She is also the mom, spouse, and sister of some awesome neurodivergent humans! In her spare time, she loves to cook, bake, read, hike, and walk her dog Selkie.
